Update on Summer Garden 2015

Harvest today of onions, eggplants, zucchini, crookneck, patty pan, bell peppers and tomatoes

It seems that I am always finding something to do besides keeping my blog up-to-date on this years summer garden.  This is our senior garden plot that we have now.  I only grow a few tomatoes here at the house and then of course I have my herb garden.  With the cutbacks we are required to do now with the serious drought situation here in California, one wonders if we will be able to garden at all.  We are only allowed to water twice a week for 5 minutes each.  I will be letting a lot of my plants die, sadly.

Just pictures today.  No explanation needed for my vegetable garden friends will know what I have.  Not many tomatoes this year, again.  Let's just hope that they produce in this heat!

  1. Pretty heart breaking, Carla. We do pray for rain. Here we are noticing the prices of fresh Calofornia produce. And all you can do is to wait it out.

    1. Hi Ann, we actually had a pretty good rain yesterday. It was only .18 but we take what we can get, and the plants all look so happy this morning. We had one more little shower around 5 AM which is going to keep the humidity high again. That's okay with me! We need moisture and the plants benefit from that as well. Thank you for your visit. I need to do some serious blog hopping this morning.

  2. These shortages can prove to be tragic for gardeners, I hope your garden survives. I have an 800 gallon water tank available to me, just need to find a place to put it.

    1. Doc, I wish I would have had a tank yesterday when we had an unexpected storm pass through. I did get a few buckets full and one trash can full but I could have captured so much more. Thank you for stopping by!
