Siesta Time

I have had this old clay Mexican man for over 30 years! I bought it on a shopping trip we took to Ensenada then proceeded to load it in our new truck. A few minutes later, a big scratch in the bed of the truck; worth every scratch!

  1. Today we went out to visit Peter's parents and to give my Father-in-law his Birthday gift. We got him seedlings from the local nursery for his garden, a whole flat! And a Beautiful flower. He is a farmer and has an amazing green thumb! Peter and I are going to be picking up some seedlings in a few weeks to get going on our garden too. I love your quote, because I felt this way today at the nursery. Not only were we giving a gift that keeps on giving, but we were also doing something really good for the earth.

Oh, I meant to tell you that I picked up a fresh herb basket and can't wait to use some!

I like the clay statue. This is so how I felt today. The sun makes one drowsy...it is hypnotic in it's warmth.

  2. Oh wonderful! Tony and I went to a local nursery today and purchased some tomato plants then headed to Lowe's to buy some wood to make tomato cages. I bought so many that he thinks we will need to make a new one. Have fun with the herbs! They are wonderful in salads too.
