Liquidambar styraciflua or more commonly known as Sweetgum
Cookie Crumble amongst the leaves
Aloes beginning to bloom. The hummingbirds are loving the nectar now with so few blooms around the garden.
Come spend some time with me in my garden...
I gaze upon the garden.
My heart grown peaceful.
From its spirit comes my will.
From its color comes my being.
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly...to listen to stars and buds, to babes, and sages, with open heart; await occasions, hurry never...this is my symphony.
~William Henry Channing
Love your Aloes ... they are such an impressive plant and look fabulous when in bloom. Your back garden is looking quite lovely with all those gorgeous autumn leaves scattered everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI love Liquidambar, unfortunately they are quite uncommon over here in Ireland. Nice photos:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute kitty and I love the colors in the garden. Our Sweetgums never get that golden color they turn from green to burgundy and are the last leaves to fall.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bernie, there are a lot of blooms on it this year. Probably from all the rain we had.
ReplyDeleteStone Art, thank you for stopping by. Ireland must be cold at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteDoc than you too for your visit. We love our kitty, she spends only a little time outdoors each day as there are a few cats in the neighborhood that like to come by. She is a tiny cat and can't defend herself among the big boys in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteso funny to see your december as opposed to our december. pretty photos. i love cookie crumble!!
