Fringe Benefit |
My Iris have burst into bloom this week. In the evening the buds resemble candelabras glowing in the moonlight.
I will share a few photos of what is blooming now. I still have many more buds that will open and am waiting for the golds and yellows to bloom, but for now this will do.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Doc!
DeleteCarla those are breathtaking!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kel, I know they are spectacular flowers. I never cease to be amazed at Mother Nature.
DeleteThese are absolutely beautiful. I love coming to your garden!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carolyn, you are always welcome here!
DeleteYour iris are just awesome. I love the peach one. We had a nice collection of iris at the old house and are still working on collecting here at the Garden Spot. We transplanted most that we had at the other place, but I didn't get all of them, like my bright orange one. My iris expert neighbor dug up some of the orange one, saying that orange is a rather rare color. Yours are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I have an orange one that should be coming into bloom this week. We had a few hail storms after I took these photos, but they still look good today. I will be over to your blog soon.
DeleteI have never grown irises (except the small crested iris) and am amazed at the different colors. The coral points look luscious, and the walking iris is so unusual. I can just picture their beauty in the moonlight.
ReplyDeleteL. Ambler, Oh you really should add them to your garden. It is such a lovely surprise to see them open in the early spring, they are magnificent blooms.
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by my garden!
Wow, you do have an impressive collection of irises. They are all very lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I do enjoy them. Thanks for stopping by my garden!
DeleteAnd I thought I had a lot of Iris! Yours are heavenly. 3 years ago, I was "gifted" a garden of Iris, IF I dug them up. I ended up with over 800 plants. I just planted them higgeldy piggeldy, and am now happily surprised at each new color that blooms in every corner of the garden!
ReplyDeleteJeri, That is a lot of plants! When I divide mine up I try to give as many away as possible, but still seem to keep more than I need. They are so beautiful when in bloom.
DeleteThank you for visiting my blog!
WOW, I'm going to bookmark you blog to show my hubby how you have your garden. We have been talking and I think he can get some great ideas from you.
ReplyDeleteI just love coming and spending time in your garden, the flowers are total wonderful.
Sorry Carla, I forgot to sign my comment.
